AN5005: APPLIED ANATOMY: BACK AND SPINE

First Sub Session

This applied anatomy course is designed for anyone wishing to learn, refresh or enhance their functional and applied anatomy knowledge of 'Back and Spine' for their own interest or for academic development. Attendees will include, but are not limited to: clinicians, allied healthcare professionals, science graduates, and anatomists. The course will begin with a five week structured, online self-study resources with clear guidance and support which includes online interactive discussion board engagement and online video lectures to help student focus their preparation for a 2 day intensive on-campus workshop, working with the cadaveric material. Knowledge and understanding will be assessed mainly by practical and written examination. A non-credit awarding option without a formal assessment is also available. At the end of the course, attendees would be able to gain an in depth applied/working knowledge of the structure and function of the human back and spine.

Attendees will include, but are not limited to: clinicians, allied healthcare professionals, science graduates, and anatomists. The course will begin with a five week structured, online self-study resources with clear guidance and support which includes online interactive discussion board engagement and online video lectures to help student focus their preparation for a 2 day intensive on-campus workshop, working with the cadaveric material. Knowledge and understanding will be further facilitated and developed by online MCQ based exams and a short reflective report. This is a non-credit awarding option without formal assessments. At the end of the course, attendees would be able to gain an in depth applied/working knowledge of the structure and function of the human back and spine.
