Course Description

In exploring current issues in childhood health and wellbeing, students will use insights from developmental psychology to understand and evaluate current issues and approaches in relation to real-world applications. This module will highlight key research and theory in developmental psychology and will develop students’ skills in evaluating resources and/or initiatives relating to childhood health and wellbeing.

By considering research and theory from developmental psychology in the context of current practices, this module will equip students with knowledge and critical thinking skills required to understand and create real-world application of research. Through weekly discussion, students will be supported to use their developing knowledge to evaluate educational resources. In groups, students will create and deliver online presentation materials for educational practitioners.
