Last modified: 28 Jun 2018 10:27

Course Overview

The 4th year external project is a good opportunity to do some research in an area of mathematics which is applicable to industry. External projects are supervised by somebody working in industry. Students will be expected to have regular meetings with their project supervisor, either at the university or via Skype. A report should be submitted at the end of the course and a presentation of the project should take place shortly afterwards. Students should be able to demonstrate in the project that they have a good understanding of the topic they covered, often through working out examples.
