This course covers the same material as AT5534 but has a lighter assessment in line with the lower credit rating. It is available to students on MRes and PGT programmes. The exact topics covered vary from year to year, but are likely to include anthropological studies of the Andes and Amazonia, race and mestizaje, colonialism, Latin American nation-states, gender, infrastructure, indigenous movements and identity politics.
