We were thrilled to welcome Dr Xiaohui (Leo) Shi, Senior Lecturer in Management at the University of Aberdeen main campus to deliver the New Venture Creation course, which aims to equip students with creative thinking skills and an enterprising outlook. These skills are essential to working in high-growth, high-impact firms, and can be used to devise a disruptive venture proposal that may regenerate an existing business. Upon successful completion of the courses, students are expected to understand the challenges facing entrepreneurs and managers who are seeking to start a new venture project, and to appreciate the importance of strategy and pitch in the venture context.
