AFG College with the University of Aberdeen have held their Induction Week
AFG College with the University of Aberdeen welcomed its new cohort of undergraduate students this week at the campus in the Al Mamoura area of Doha.
Attending the first day of their student induction programme, over one hundred and fifty students completed their registration and were introduced to their university lecturers who offered a guided tour of the institution’s facilities and the range of student services available to them.
AFG College with the University of Aberdeen currently offers two honours bachelor’s degrees: business management and accountancy and finance.
The new students will commence their studies this month and will join the existing student body who started their studies in the 2017/18 academic year.
The college chairperson, Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani commented, “it’s so encouraging to see so many new students starting their academic journey with the University of Aberdeen here in Qatar. Aberdeen University is not only one of the oldest UK universities, it is also ranked within the top 1% of global universities for research excellence and student outcomes. I am delighted to be part of this great institution and looking forward to the introduction of new postgraduate management degrees which we are hoping to launch this October.”
A further fifty new students are expected to enrol at the Qatar campus over the coming few days, resulting in over two hundred undergraduate students joining in the 2018/19 academic year.
