- Brian Buckley – Principal

Brian is a senior higher education practitioner. His experience within the sector has spanned over twenty-two years and has been instrumental in developing national and international partnership agreements for the UK university sector. He was a senior board member of one of the UK’s largest independent providers of university education, which included strategic partnerships with the University of Hull and Plymouth University. He was the executive Director of one of the largest London based executive MBA programmes (EMBA) and was instrumental in introducing a leading EMBA Programme into Shanghai.
He has extensive experience in public private partnerships and has worked closely with a leading UK based PE firm in the field of independent higher education.
Brian was an important figure in the formation of the partnership between AFG and Aberdeen University and currently holds the position of Principal and President of the Doha operation. He holds an MBA from the University of Hull and an MSc in European Politics from Birkbeck College, University of London.
- Asma Al Aufi – Marketing Manager

Asma is currently the Marketing Manager at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen campus in Doha. With over seven years of experience in the banking industry and has proven her ability to manage a range of marketing initiatives, including client acquisition and retention plans, sales, market research, brand building, and adaptation to improve consumer experiences and competitive insights. These efforts have driven successful marketing campaigns and helped clients achieve their objectives. She has demonstrated her ability to function well in challenging financial environments and carry on delivering outcomes that matter.
Asma holds a BA from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht in International Communication & Media and the University of Sussex with an MSc in Strategic Innovation Management.
- Razan Alwadi - Design & Marketing Officer

Razan Alwadi is currently the Design & Marketing Officer at the Marketing and Student Recruitment Department at AFG College with University of Aberdeen. She graduated from the Applied Science Private University, faculty of Design and Art in Jordan, 2019.
Razan is a fresh graduate with work experience while studying in the Graphic Design field with several NGOs and volunteer projects.
- Hafsa Kathloum Azouz - Personal Assistant to the Principal

Kathloum Azouz – known as Hafsa – is a Course Advisor/Personal Assistant. She graduated from the UK with a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and is a qualified teacher of English, with CELTA certification. Hafsa has nine years' experience in the field of education. She believes it is important that everyone should have access to a quality education and is committed to her part in providing prospective students with that opportunity at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.

Cindy Canete is an Academic Administrator at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She gained her Associate degree in Information Technology in the Philippines.
She has more than 5 years of experience in the Administrative field from various sectors including trading, sales & retail and education.

- Tommy Daly – Student Services Manager

Tommy Daly joined AFG College with the University of Aberdeen in 2017 as Student Services Manager and was instrumental in developing the Student Hub. Tommy manages the Student Services Team and ensures that all student enquiries are dealt with professionally and in a timely manner. As a member of the Senior Management Team, Tommy leads on all student-related issues, liaising closely with teams across AFG College and the University.
Prior to moving to Doha, Tommy undertook a series of student-focused roles in the UK Higher Education sector.
- Ghina Elkasti – Careers and Internship Manager

Ghina is the Careers and Internship Manager at AFG college with the University of Aberdeen.
She has obtained her MA. In International Education from SIT School of International Training, Vermont USA in 2014 and Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Engineering from Qatar University in 2010.
She worked at Qatar University for 8 years, her latest position was the section head for Global Education and Student Exchange.
Ghina is passionate about intercultural learning and communications and teambuilding activities. She speaks four languages and is well known for her love for travelling and exploring different cultures.
- Marwa Elsidig – Student Disability/Wellbeing Officer

Marwa Elsidig is an officer of disability and well-being at the AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She has graduated from Qatar University with a major in Finance and minor in Marketing. With work experience as a personal tutor in the Academic Support Center and Special needs Centre, Marwa is fully dedicated to getting involved and helping the students at the AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.
During her spare time, Marwa participates in non-profit voluntary work and is also seeking to have a master’s degree in the business field.
- Jad Hardan - Group Director of Information Technology

Jad Hardan is The Group Director of Information Technology for AFG College with the University of Aberdeen and Al Faleh Educational Holding.
He provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative and secure information technology system throughout the schools under Al Faleh Educational Holding and AFG College with The University of Aberdeen.
Jad is holding a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Roehampton in London.
Before joining AFG, Jad spent more than 12 years in informational technology roles, especially in the hospitality sector. He managed more than fifty IT projects for Oracle Hospitality Products and Applications. Jad has travelled widely throughout the Middle East and Europe in the execution of a range of IT and applications development projects.
- Michael Harris – Director of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs

Michael has over fifteen years of experience in the higher education sector, having worked with various British universities and higher educational institutions. He was a member of the senior strategic management team for a leading independent management school in London and for eight years worked as Middle East development manager for that institution. This role involved forging links between education establishments, government agencies and industrial sector multinational organisations to deliver capacity building programmes to managers in the Gulf region.
Michael has extensive knowledge of the region having worked with the Embassies of UAE, Bahrain and Qatar developing cultural links in the areas of education, law and the arts.
Michael holds a University of London BA (Hons), the Graduate Diploma in Law (BPP University) and an MSc Strategic Management from the University of Wales. Michael is currently Director of Strategic Communications & Public Affairs at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.

I moved to Qatar in 2011 with my family. The move brought a major career shift, when I replaced nearly two decades of aviation operations with the libraries. Before joining the AFG College, I ran the libraries in Newton British Academy and Sherborne Qatar Prep school. I was also a Library Support Team member at the Georgetown University Qatar.
I obtained the MA degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University College of London (UCL), specialised in Leadership and Management in Libraries and Librarianship for the Education Sector.
I am keen on improving library collections and operations in all aspects, with the emphasis on inclusive services. I also believe that promoting information literacy and developing critical thinking and research skills are the key to raising the generations of lifelong learners.
I am excited to help making the AFG Learning and Resource Centre a leading learning and research hub in the region.

Hazel is currently the Credit Controller at the AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She gained her (BS) Computer Science degree in the Philippines and completed her Accounting Professional Diploma in Filipino Institute, Qatar.
Hazel formerly worked as an Accountant (AR) – Invoicing within the Manufacturing sector for more than 16 years prior to joining the University. Work dedication and enthusiasm are her key attributes in handling responsibilities.
She is always open to learning from her superior and colleagues while also being ready to offer them support. - Mohamad Mubashik - IT Technician

He holds a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology from College of Technology in Srilanka.
Mubashik has over 06 years of experience in the field of IT Support providing technical assistance and troubleshooting solutions. With a passion for technology and a commitment to Students and Staffs satisfaction, he excels in diagnosing and resolving a wide range of technical issues efficiently. His expertise includes hardware and software troubleshooting, network administration and system upgrades.

Prior to joining the University, Asiah gained 2 years of experience in the education sector, both in administration and as a teacher.

Fatemah holds a bachelor's degree in Management, specialised in Office Administrative and has been working for the past 13 years. She began as an administrative assistant before rising to the position of office administrator in consultant engineers' companies. Additionally, Fatima has experience in running a business. Outside of work, she finds joy in painting and practicing Pilates.
- Mia Neri - Nurse

Maria Mia L. Neri is the Nurse in AFG College with the University of Aberdeen. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, Philippines and graduated in 2010.
Mia is a registered nurse here in Doha since 2015 and worked at different healthcare facilities and clinics. She obtained various positions as a home care nurse, school and nursery nurse.
Mia was also a volunteer nurse at Hamad Medical Center Communicable Diseases for COVID patients.
- Reham Osman - Assistant Librarian

After 10 years of pursuing a career in accounting at one of the biggest FMCGs in the Middle East, she relocated to Doha with my family in 2016.
She received her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in 2010 from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and M.A in Library and Information Science from the University College London in Qatar in 2020. She joined the Qatar National Library team in Nov 2017, where she worked as a library assistant until August 2021.
Reham has a passion for information literacy and research and she enjoys working with students. She truly enjoys helping students find the resources that they need to be successful in their degree programs. “Each interaction is a chance to learn something new, and supporting library users has taught me how I might solve a technology issue or find information on a certain topic. Overall, I am excited to be part of the library team. If you are ever in a research rut or have a question, keep calm and ask a librarian. We’re here to help!”

Lisa Reynolds is the Head of Library and Learning Resources.
She has lived in Qatar since 2012 and worked at the Qatar National Library before starting at AFG. She has a M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She also obtained her M.A in Museum and Gallery Practice at University College London here in Qatar.
Lisa's main interest area in libraries is information literacy instruction. She loves working in libraries and helping people fulfil their informational needs. She wants the library to be the heart of AFG College with the University of Aberdeen.

Sherine is currently the Group Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment Departments at AFG College with the University of Aberdeen and Doha Academy Schools
Prior to joining the University, Sherine worked as Head of Business Development at the German Industry and Commerce Office Qatar and Public Relations Manager at the Qatari Businessmen Association.
Before moving to Qatar, Sherine last worked at the Customer Relationship Management Unit in the Retail Department of Bank Audi sal Audi Saradar Group, in Beirut.
She graduated from the American University of Beirut and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing.
