2024-07-29

Today we introduce Dr Mirjam Brady-Van den Bos, one of our lecturers and the coordinator of the Level 1 Research Methods course in the School of Psychology. Get to know Mirjam a little more here:

What is your favourite book?
I’ve just finished the Silo trilogy by Hugh Howey. An absolute must for anyone interested in Psychology.

Do you have any pets?
I am friends will all the crows in the neighborhood and a woodpigeon sits on my hand every morning for cuddles (this is true!)

What is your favourite part of your job?

I love the interaction and banter with students – some of them become lifelong friends after graduation.

Are there any projects you’re currently working on that you’re excited about?
I’m very excited about the new first-year course that I’m writing. It’s going to be great fun both to teach and to take as a student!

Coffee or tea?
Foraged tea – gave up caffeine 2 years ago, best decision!

Phone call or text?
Text!!! When people phone I think there’s been a disaster.

While walking: Podcast or music?
Nothing – I like the sound of my footsteps.
