Dr Lisa DeBruine was one of 68 academics, entrepreneurs, artists and professionals chosen from more than 300 applicants to serve on the Royal Society of Edinburgh's inaugural Young Academy of Scotland.
The aim of the initiative is to stimulate creative ideas and collaborative working that will help address some of the key challenges facing Scotland and contribute to solving some of the global challenges of the 21st century.
Lisa is one of 6 academics from the University of Aberdeen to be appointed to the Young Academy.
