The University Of Aberdeen School Of Psychology is inviting applications for funded postgraduate studentships leading to a PhD, starting in autumn 2016. Applicants may be considered for funding through the ESRC Scottish Graduate School of Social Sciences Doctoral Training Centre schemes. Candidates must hold (or be expected to obtain) an Upper Second Class honours degree in Psychology or cognate discipline as a minimum requirement. Further research experience would also be advantageous. Applications must include: 1) An on-line form completed through the applicant portal. 2) A project proposal, maximum length 1500 words (excluding bibliography) including the following sections: overview, context, methodology and impact. The project proposal is an essential component of the application and applicants should liaise with a member of the School’s academic staff when developing their proposal. 3) Two academic references – please attach the references to the application or ask the referees to send the references directly to Emily Baird (contact details below). References should provide information about your academic performance and/or research skills, and suitability for postgraduate study. 4) A CV outlining your academic qualifications and research experience to date.
