Funding for psychology research.
The following external grants have recently been awarded in the School of Psychology:
DeBruine, L. M. & Jones, B. C. (2011-2013). Preference versus choice: How experimental tests of face preferences relate to actual partner choice. ESRC Standard Grant. £171,485.
Bond, C. & Mearns, K. (2011-2013). Perception and communication of risk and uncertainty. Scottish Government grant as part of the Centre of Expertise on Climate Change. £149,447. Dr Clare Bond (School of Geosciences) and Dr Kathryn Mearns (School of Psychology) have received research funding from the Scottish Government for a 3 year post-doctoral position to investigate the perception of risk and uncertainty in relation to climate change. This funding is part of a larger inter-disciplinary project involving Scottish Universities and Research Centres forming a Centre of Excellence for Climate Change.
