We are delighted to announce that Dr Rachel Swainson has been awarded an ESRC grant of £333,572 to investigate "Preparation, performance and the subsequent cost of switching tasks". The research is in collaboration with Dr Motonori Yamaguchi at Edge Hill University.
This 3-year research project, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), will investigate the comparative effects of “knowing” and “doing” on subsequent behaviour. Specifically, it aims to compare the effects of switching away from a task that was only prepared and not performed (“knowing”) with those of switching away from a task that was both prepared and performed (“doing”).
