Biography

I received my MA in General Psychology from Allameh Tabataba’i University in 2021 and my MSc in Psychological Science from the University of Aberdeen in 2022. I started my MRes/PhD program at the University of Aberdeen in 2022.

My PhD project examines how self-relevance influences instrumental learning. I am supervised by Professor Neil Macrae and Dr Marius Golubickis at the Aberdeen Computational Social Cognition Lab.

My primary research interest is in exploring self-bias and self-learning.

I am also a PGR representative in the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion committee at the School of Psychology.

Research Overview

I am interested in investigating how individuals perceive, process, and react to information related to themselves and others. Employing both behavioral methods and computational modeling, I explore mechanisms that contribute to self-bias. Currently, my focus lies on studying the effect of self-relevance on instrumental learning.
