Biography

Dr Martin Wersing is a Lecturer in Real Estate at the University of Aberdeen Business School. He has extensive experience in teaching real estate economics, financial econometrics, and statistics. He is a senior exams officer for the Business School and a member of the academic integrity committee. He is also an associate editor of the Journal of Property Research.

Martin has extensive research experience in the areas of applied econometrics, machine learning, housing economics, and urban economics. He has collaborations with scholars from Germany, Sweden, and the UK. He has published his research in leading field journals, including Regional Science and Urban Economics, Journal of Housing Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Empirical Economics, Computational Statistics, and the Journal of Property Research. 

Martin has been invited to give seminars and workshops in institutions across Europe, such as the Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm. He has also presented his research at international real estate and economics conferences. He has provided consultancy on automated valuation models for listings platforms and surveyors. He has also been refereeing submissions to academic journals such as the International Review of Financial Analysis, Journal of Property Research, Journal of European Real Estate Research, Land Economics, Scottish Journal of Political Economy, and Computational Statistics.
