Research Overview
I am an eco-physiologist with a particular interest in marine mammal physiology, health and disease. I'm especially interested in how environmental variability shapes their physiology and life history strategies, and these interests have led me to investigate more fundamental questions about the regulation of their diving physiology and fasting physiology, in particular.

Humpback whales may be struggling to breed as climate crisis depletes food
Study published in Global Change Biology describes decline in humpback whale calves born in past 15 years due to diminishing herring stocks in warming north Atlantic.
