Biography
Jisha became a member of the Epidemiology group in January 2022 following her family's move from Dubai to Aberdeen.
In her current role as the Assistant Study Coordinator for the UK Antimicrobial Registry (UKAR) Research Study, she assists in the day-to-day management of a multi-centre cohort study aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of 11 antibiotic study drugs. The study recruits patients from secondary care and tracks their clinical data at 28 days, 6 months, and 12 months after commencing therapy.
As part of the UKAR study coordination team, Jisha’s responsibilities include liaising with hospital sites, responding to site queries and coordinating sim data entry following database training, while monitoring the UKAR mailbox and reviewing work instructions. She also supports the green-lighting process for hospital sites, ensures data completeness by checking for missing data, and helps to maintain site information spreadsheets and screening logs.
In her previous role as the Administration Coordinator for the Epidemiology group, Jisha provided comprehensive admin support to the entire team while also serving on the IAHS health and safety team. Her duties included organizing group events and coordinating the well-established course, Intensive Course in Applied Epidemiology.
Additionally, Jisha managed all administrative tasks for various research projects such as QUICK, Making it Work™ - Scotland, BSR-PsA, RHEUMAPS and CAPE. She also provided support for the Centre for Musculoskeletal Health and Work (CMHW) and Aberdeen Centre for Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Health (ACAMH) and assisted academic staff with research grant applications (NIHR, VA etc), by updating CVs, publications, preparing Gantt chart, adding references, and compiling proposal document.
