Biography
I received my MSci in Human Anatomy from the University of Glasgow in 2019, during which I spent time studying abroad at the University of Helsinki, Finland, and at the University of Aberdeen on research placement. I then obtained my PhD at the University of Aberdeen in 2023 under the supervision of Professor Simon Parson, where I studied pathological manifestation of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a paediatric motor neuron disease.
I am currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Professor Parson continuing to research both neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative aspects of spinal muscular atrophy. I am particularly interested in the influence of vascular dysfunction on the neural environment and its role in neurodegeneration.
