Biography
Haci (Bayram) received his PhD in Quantitative Research, Evaluation and Measurement from The Ohio State University (OSU). He worked as a nationwide public health project evaluation team member for over three years during his doctoral studies at OSU and as a Social Sciences Research Specialist at the Ohio Department of Education for about a year.
Bayram worked as a faculty member at two universities in Turkey. He taught undergraduate and graduate-level research methods, statistics, project development, and educational assessment courses. He was also the associate director of the Distance Education Research Centre (DERC) at one of those universities for four years. Coordinating online and face-to-face local, national, and international exams, and leading the development of an international student exam conducted in more than 20 countries were among his responsibilities.
Bayram advised and helped numerous national and international institutions develop, implement, and evaluate projects. Turkish Ministry of Education, Ministry of European Affairs, Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBITAK), Measurement, Selection, and Placement Centre (OSYM – the state institution organizing nationwide high-stakes examinations in Turkey), and COWI A/S International Consulting Group are among those institutions. He joined the University of Aberdeen in 2022 as a lecturer in psychometrics at the Centre for Healthcare Education Research and Innovation (CHERI).
