Biography
Gloria is an international academic on international dispute resolution energy and investment law. She has in-depth knowledge of commercial law in civil and common law systems, acts as legal expert and independent arbitrator (ICC, ICSID, LCIA, CAM, CCL and CANACO experience). She worked as in-house lawyer in a multinational company and arbitration case manager in an arbitral institution.
Her academic work spans in the areas of international economic law, climate and social justice. She has held prestigious academic posts at the Shanghai University of Finance, Queen Mary University of London, Max Planck Institute (Luxemburg), Lauterpacht Centre (University of Cambridge) and a Research Associate at UKERC (EPSRC Grant).Gloria has published the following leading books:

Gloria has held commissions of trust, including Associate Editor at Kluwer Arbitration Blog (2013-2019), Young ICCA Mentoring Programme Co-coordinator (2017-2019) and Steering Member of the Alumni and Friends of the School of International Arbitration, Queen Mary University of London. She is the founder of “Hydrogen Talks” and co-founder of “Arbitration Links”, initiatives to learn about the use of hydrogen in the energy transition and promote international arbitration from a Mexican perspective, respectively. Gloria a Member of the Academic Forum on ISDS (PluriCourts) and sits in the Editorial Board of ICSID Review, Journal of International Arbitration and European Investment Law and Arbitration Review.
She is currently working in two major publications: Arbitration in Mexico (Wolters Kluwer) and International Investment Arbitration and Energy Disputes (Hart). She is also a visiting lecturer at Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada.
