Biography
Emma-Louise Tarburn is a PhD student within the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science working on a project that aims to investigate the aetiology of a rare group of blood cancers as part of a UK and Ireland-wide case-control study.
Having achieved a BSc in Biomedical Science (1st class Honours) from Robert Gordon University, and with a background working in molecular microbiology, she is a passionate ambassador for women in STEM.
Emma is particularly interested in blood cancer symptom recognition, and hopes to contribute to research that improves patient outcomes and quality of life.
