Research Overview
I am mostly interested in water risk analysis and societal perception of risk for the development of appropriate measures, spatial and temporal propagation of risks in natural and human systems, and development of decision support systems for improved assessment and management of available resources and adaptation. Moreover, I have the vision that water must be considered in the wider context of the nexus between water, soil, energy, and food security, which is recognized as a pillar of inclusive growth and sustainable development.

Current Research
My current research work deals with the evaluation and prospective of water resources in mountain areas under a climate change context, considering adaptation measures with an impact on the territory. Previously, I was involved in several projects on agricultural water management in the UK and on the enhancement of decision-making methodologies for water resources management, and drought risk research with an emphasis on river basin systems in Spain.
