Research Overview
My research interests include: marine geology, sediment mobility, glaciogenic landforms and sediments, glacial processes and palaeoglacial reconstructions, Hydrogen storage in the subsurface, ultra-high resolution seismic (UHRS) data acquisition and interpretation, marine geophysical methods and seabed mapping. Recently I am focusing on applied marine geoscience with a particular interest in ground modeling on formerly glaciated continental margins for offshore wind energy developments (OWF arrays, cables, and landfall sites)
In my work, I integrate geophysical methods (UHRS seismic, side scan sonar, MBES bathymetry , magnetics) with Sedimentology and geomorphological mapping.

Current Research
Current projects include:
1) Quantification of ground modeling uncertainty in glaciogenic settings based on 2D UHR seismic data in the Southern Baltic Sea-Implication for offshore wind developments
2) Reconstruction of Post LGM Fennoscandian ice sheet margin dynamics in the southern Baltic using UHRS seismic data (in partnership with STREAMBAL Project)
3) Risk-based approach to reconstructing of post-glacial sea level oscillations and coastlines in Scotland and southern Baltic using GIA models and high-resolution bathymetry: implications for archeological studies and geoengineering projects (cables and offshore wind farms)
4) Reconstruction of the late stage of deglaciation (post-LGM) in the central Barent Sea using high-resolution bathymetric data.
5) Feasibility of an automated approach to ice crevasses mapping using GPR, remote sensing, and machine learning.
6) Reconstruction of mountain glaciations and equilibrium line altitudes in the Ural mountains.
