Biography
2007-2011 University of Sheffield, PhD, Thesis: Cold-formed steel elements for earthquake resistant moment frame buildings.
2011-2012 Research Fellow at University of Warwick.
2013-2015 Lecturer in Structural Engineering at University of Wolverhampton.

Research Overview
Areas of expertise:My research activities are mainly linked with the topics of offsite manufacturing, resilient and sustainable lightweight steel structures and circular construction integrating physical tests, advanced computational analysis and novel design solutions.
Current Research
2023-2025. Hybrid lightweight structural systems for low-cost housing (HYLIGHTS). EPSRC grant (EP/W026376/1). Collaborators: Imperial College London & University of Sheffield. Project partners: SCI, Metsec plc and Etex. Total price to funder value: ~ £1.1M.
2022-2025. Lightweight steel tubular framed structures for multi-storey building construction in seismic area. Research – Studentship funded by Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Value: £65,500.
