Biography
Dr. Ali Bayat is a researcher in the field of corporate governance. He joined the University of Aberdeen as a lecturer in Business Management in 2018, following the completion of his PhD from Alliance Manchester Business School. Dr. Bayat's research interests include a wide range of topics, including CEOs, corporate boards, ESG, sustainable finance, and the governance and managerial implications of digitisation and Big Data. He has also conducted research for external government and non-profit organisations such as the National Infrastructure Commission and the Royal Commonwealth Society. Dr. Bayat has teaching expertise in sustainable finance and management, evidence-based decision making, big data, and quantitative research methods. He has designed and coordinated courses at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.
