Biography
Dr Abraham Adu is the Head of the Finance Department, & a Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen, Business School. Before joining the University of Aberdeen, Abraham was a Lecturer in Finance and Economics at the University of Hull, Faculty of Business, Law, and Politics. Abraham completed his Ph.D. and a Master of Research in Economics at the University of Hull; he also holds an MSc in Financial Management from the same university. Additionally, he holds a BA in Publishing Administration from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
Abraham engages academically with the finance industry by working as a Panel Judge for the Index Award. He is also an active business development professional with a Certified Quantitative Risk Management focused on Risk Management, Real Options Analysis, Econometrics Analysis, Forecasting & Monte Carlo. Since 2017, he has been a Fellow Member of the Higher Education Academy promoting world-class teaching in higher education in UK institutions. Abraham is also a key member of the Ghana-Eurpoean Scholarly Society.
His research has been presented at international conferences, including the European Economics and Finance Society. Abraham serves as a reviewer for internationally recognized journals such as the International Journal of Social Economics and open-access journals.
