The University of Aberdeen is saddened by the death of former student Linda Norgrove in Afghanistan.
The death of Linda, an aid worker from the Isle of Lewis, was reported over the weekend.
She was an outstanding student who gained a Bachelor of Science degree with first-class honours in Tropical Environmental Science in 1996.
Our thoughts are with her friends and family at this sad time.
