University Signs Russian Recruitment Agreement
A delegation from Moscow is in Aberdeen to sign an agreement with the University’s Student Recruitment and Admissions Services to act as agents to recruit undergraduate and postgraduate students to Aberdeen.
PARTA are the oldest recruitment agency in Russia and represent institutions from many countries, including the United States. Managing Director Irine Mochalova and Coordinator Natalia Semenova will be spending a few days in Aberdeen.
Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions Services, Lori Manders said: “The University of Aberdeen has seen a rise in the number of applications from Russia, and we believe that it is an exciting new opportunity for us. This year we have seen overseas applications increase by 17.8%, and the University of Aberdeen receives significantly more overseas applications than most Scottish universities.”
The University of Aberdeen is working to develop its ties with Russia. Mrs Manders has visited Russia twice within the past year 18 months as part of Scottish Education and Training, a joint venture between Scottish Trade International and the British Council. She will return to Moscow and St Petersburg this autumn to visit schools and meet prospective students.
