Commenting on the awards, Professor George Boyne, University Principal, said: “I was delighted to attend Monday night’s Principal’s Scholar award ceremony, and to meet some of the inspirational students who have excelled in the first year of their studies here.

“As a University we are proud of our students and the contribution they make to university life, and this award is just one way that we can acknowledge their many accomplishments.

“My congratulations go to all our award winners, and I wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.”
