The UArctic Thematic Network on Communicating Arctic Research, which is also known as SubZero, has just launched their new website at sub-zero.org.

Get in touch if you are interested in this network and the people behind SubZero who are involved with several visual projects carried out within the framework of the Thematic Network.

In addition to these projects, the website presents associated work by individuals from the larger SubZero collective.

In the coming weeks, the Thematic Network will also share more information about their current activities.

  • The Thematic Network on Communicating Arctic Research links professional photographers, information-visualization specialists and art students together with students of science, Arctic researchers, holders of traditional knowledge, and scientists.
  • The network provides education and training in photo-based imaging and data visualization tools and methods to create photo, video, infographics and related materials, and also builds capacity and practical skills amongst the science and research community to produce the best quality and the most practical imagery for their research needs.

The work of the Thematic Network is supported by University of the Arctic and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

Read more about the SubZero network, their collective and projects at sub-zero.org.
