Anthropology Scotland Day

Anthropology Scotland Day

Anthropologists across Scotland are coming together to showcase their subject for S4-S6 school pupils. The event will take place at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh on Friday 10 June from 10am-3pm.

Staff from the Universities of Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews will lead workshops tailored for school pupils to give them a taste of anthropology, including: the refugee experience; the invention of tradition; museum culture; dirt and pollution; the culture game, and others. Current students will also be on hand to talk about studying the subject in Scotland.

For more information please download the flyer, or book online.

The event comes as Aberdeen's Department of Anthropology celebrates an outstanding showing in the latest Guardian University League Tables. Ranked 5th overall in the UK, scores include 95% for teaching satisfaction and 94% for satisfaction with the course overall - based on the National Student Survey results.
