Our Level 4 students have concluded their eighteen-month Fieldwork module with a week of artistic encounters in Paris, while Level 3 began their Fieldwork with a two-day Reading Party at The Burn, near Edzell.
Dr Mary Pryor and Professor John Morrison accompanied students to the Musée du Louvre, Musée d'Orsay and the Centre Pompidou, as well as leading a walking tour around the historic artistic hub of Montmarte. Time was also given over to independent student visits to a range of galleries and museums, and a well-earned group meal on the final evening.
At The Burn, students worked with Professor Jane Geddes, Dr Luke Uglow and PhD student Lindsey Vyse on presentation skills and feedback and team building exercises, and enjoyed a visit to Edzell Castle in the rare November sunshine!
Throughout the Fieldwork programme, students keep an online Fieldwork Blog (Flog) in which they record their compulsory and optional visits to places of artistic interest, attendance at public lectures and research seminars, and involvement in relevant voluntary work or internships.
Level 4 students are now reflecting upon and developing selections from their Flogs into their ePortfolios of Fieldwork experiences which will form their assessment for this module.
