University of Aberdeen sprinter Zoey Clark won gold for Great Britain & Northern Ireland at the Under-23 European Athletics Championships in Estonia at the weekend.
Zoey, who studies Chemical Engineering, ran the second leg of the 4x400m relay to put Team GB into a commanding position – eventually winning the race ahead of Poland and Russia.
Speaking after the event The John Robertson Sport Scholarship recipient said: “Seren gave us such a great start so it was great to just get in there, claim my position in first and then hold it together.”
The team’s final time of 3m 30.07secs is a national record at Under-23 level.
