exploHUB trainees have recently benefitted from a single day core workshop that has advanced their knowledge of classic North Sea reservoirs
Both clastic and carbonate core are included in the PESGB teaching collection and trainees observed and interpreted a range of depositional settings including fluvial, playa, shallow marine, turbidites, and chalk. The day was part of Module 2 of the exploHUB curriculum on Petroleum Systems, with specific relevance to reservoir prediction. The trainees and the course Director were accompanied by Doug Boyd (INTEGRATED SEDIMENTOLOGY LTD www.insed.com) who acted as specialist advisor for the day.
