Professor Peter Bower, Centre for Primary Care, Institute of Population Health, University of Manchester, will be visiting the Unit on the 5th November 2014.
Peter plans to discuss work on ways in which recruitment to trials can be improved, specifically how the START project (http://www.population-health.manchester.ac.uk/mrcstart/) has created a way of systematically evaluating interventions to increase recruitment to trials. He will be giving an IAHS seminar, starting at 13.00, and also meeting with members of the Unit who are working on trial recruitment, retention and conduct. Peter’s visit will be hosted primarily by Dr Katie Gillies and Professor Shaun Treweek.
