Planned maintenance on University telephony. Work scheduled to take place across 3 days, Tuesday 22nd - Thursday 24th July
What is happening?
IT Service Engineers will be carrying out planned maintenance and upgrades of the Telephone systems supporting University telephone extensions throughout the University.
This work will take place between 18:00 and 22:00 on the evenings of Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th July. All University telephones in the following buildings will be out of service for a period of up to 90 minutes during this time:

Wednesday 23rd July | 17 High St, 24 High St, 50 College Bounds, Bedford Rd Heating Station, Butchart, Crombie Johnston, Crombie Annex, Cruickshank, Dental Suite, Elphinstone Rd Halls, Fraser Noble, Humanities Manse, Marischal Museum, Meston, Powis Gate, Sir Duncan Rice Library, St Marys, The Hub, Zoology, Rowett and Oceanlab. |
Thursday 24th July | BSU, Childrens Hospital, Dugald Baird, Health Sciences, IMS, Medical Library, Liberty, Lilian Sutton, LSI, Maternity, McGillivray, Pet Centre, Polwarth and Suttie Centre. |
Please Note: Telephone extensions at Security Control, ASV Reception and Aquatics Centre Reception and poolside will NOT be affected.
What should you do?
There will be an interruption to telephone services, we therefore recommend that you do not initiate or take any long calls during this time. Additionally, as there will be no emergency telephones in the lifts you should not attempt to use the lifts during this time.
