Apple has released mobile and Mac operating system updates to fix a critical security flaw
What is happening?
Apple has released mobile and Mac operating system updates to fix a critical security flaw.
• An update to iOS 7 was released on Friday, which fixes a significant vulnerability on the protocol used for secure transactions over the web.
• A security update for Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks is now also available from the Mac App Store or http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/
What should you do?
You should update your Apple mobile device and/or Apple OS X Mavericks as soon as possible to avoid this vulnerability.
We appreciate that many users prefer to adopt a “wait and see” approach before installing Apple updates. However, in this case - given the fundamental nature of the issue – we actively encourage a “sooner rather than later” approach.
As always, it is best to keep any operating system as up to date as possible and you should run an update function on a regular basis.
