Apply now for a range of postgraduate studentship opportunities within the School of Psychology
The University Of Aberdeen School Of Psychology is inviting applications for postgraduate study leading to PhD, with a view to being considered for funding either by the ESRC Scottish Graduate School Doctoral Training Centre (ESRC SGC DTC) or the Graduate School of College of Life Sciences and Medicine (CLSM GS). Candidates must hold or be expected to obtain an Upper Second Class honours degree in Psychology, or cognate disciplines as a minimum requirement; further postgraduate/research experience would be advantageous. Applicants are required to include a project proposal and the details of two academic referees with their application. The project proposal is an essential component of the application and applicants should liaise with a member of the School’s academic staff when developing their proposal. Proposals must not exceed 1500 words (excluding bibliography) and should include sections on overview, context, methodology and impact. A list of prospective supervisors and their areas of research can be found here
Both funding schemes cover tuition fees for the UK/EU students, however stipends are only payable to applicants satisfying the UK residency under SGC DTG awards.
Applications must be submitted online before the closing date 7th February 2014.
