The countdown is on for the British Science Festival hitting the streets of Aberdeen 4-9 September.
With just two weeks to go, the Aberdeen public got a taste of what's to come from Oscar the talking robot and friends who invaded the city's Union Square shopping centre last weekend.
Saturday shoppers were invited to make their very own neuron coaster, and find out how neurons work in the brain. And the answer to the puzzling question 'Where did my dinner go?’ was revealed by a street theatre presentation of the human digestive system featuring giant props and colourful characters.
Waterstone’s Union Bridge branch showcased some sizzling summer science with a free family session instore featuring a selection of scientific wonders, and local radio station, Northsound broadcast live from the event, inviting listeners to guess a science anagram and be in with a chance to win an IPad.
