A new community-led archaeology publication featuring contributions by members of the Archaeology Department and Geography Department has recently been released. Cultural Landscapes of North-east Scotland: Collaborative Research in History and Archaeology (Oxbow books), edited by Dr Colin Shepherd, also features contributions from the community and professional collaborators from around the north-east.
This publication analyses the landscapes of North-east Scotland through interdisciplinary and collaborative methods carried out by community researchers and the University of Aberdeen over a twelve-year period. The various studies explore the nature of North-east Scotland’s historic environment from archaeological, geological, geographical, and community engagement perspectives to develop a better understanding of the region.
