Funding success for Art History Postgraduate Michael Partington

Michael Partington has been awarded a highly competitive Research Support Grant by the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, for his work on the seventeenth-century publisher and entrepreneur John Ogilby. This award will enable Michael to undertake essential archival research at libraries and print collections in London, Windsor, Antwerp and Amsterdam as part of his PhD project, "Paper-Kingdoms: the illustrated books of John Ogilby and the early modern world", supervised by Dr Helen Pierce.

More information on the autumn 2024 recipients of Paul Mellon Centre funding can be found here: https://www.paul-mellon-centre.ac.uk/grants-and-fellowships/awarded/autumn-2024

We’re delighted that the Paul Mellon Centre has recognised the quality of Michael’s PhD project to date, and the importance of these archival visits to its ongoing development. Congratulations Michael!
