exploHUB goes from strength to strength

exploHUB goes from strength to strength

exploHUB has welcomed its third cohort of trainees and the training centre is going from strength to strength. This year there are 6 trainees in the exploration team and they hail from as far afield as Saudi Arabia and Algeria. The trainees are all employees of or are sponsored by oil companies and service companies.

The corporations participating this year include Saudi Aramco, Schlumberger, Dana Petroleum, Premier Oil and Senergy.  Recently there has been a major developmental change to the training centre where modularised 'block release' training allows their employees to attend in phases of 3 month per year over 4 successive years.  The two Senergy trainees are utilising this novel and innovative training model this year.

exploHUB is a unique training centre that is committed to improving the technical skills of the next generation of hydrocarbon explorationists by employing a learning-by-doing training philosophy. The centre utilises innovative and progressive learning techniques so that trainees get valuable hands-on experience of exploring for hydrocarbons in an immersive team environment. The curriculum is based around the simulation of realistic exploration scenarios and is supported by high quality mentorship from both industry professionals and academics.
