Seminar delivered by Professor Mary Joan Macleod
Professor Macleod's clinical work includes acute stroke care and hypertension clinics. She currently leads the hypertension service at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Her main research interests are stroke epidemiology (particularly how service organisation and treatments affect outcomes after stroke), clinical trials in thrombosis and stroke and low field stroke imaging. She is Honorary Deputy Secretary of the British and Irish Association of Stroke Physicians and Clinical Lead for the Scottish Stroke Care Audit.
In this seminar, Professor Macleod discussed her work collecting and communicating evidence from research to influence changes in stroke services.
