What do psychologists think of Artificial Intelligence?

Join experts in psychology as they explain how they work with Artificial Intelligence in a free workshop at the University of Aberdeen.

The inaugural Interdisciplinary Psychology, Health, and AI Workshop will be held in the Sir Duncan Rice Library from 1pm to 5pm on Wednesday 26 June.

Speakers include Professor Andrew Greenshaw, Dr Bo Cao and Professor Eleni Stroulia from the University of Alberta, as well as Professor Louise Phillips, Professor Patric Bach, and our PhD student Joel Currie from the University of Aberdeen. The leading experts in their fields will talk specifically about how their work bridges psychology with other disciplines, such as AI and health.

The workshop will conclude with an opportunity for open and informal discussion with speakers and fellow guests.

Professor Jie Sui, Chair in Psychology at the University of Aberdeen is leading the event. Professor Sui said: “We are excited to host this interdisciplinary workshop. We hope to ignite positive discussion around how insights from psychology and health can inform the development of AI technologies and conversely, how AI can revolutionise our understanding of human mind, behaviour and well-being. By bridging these disciplines, we aspire to discover novel perspectives and forge innovative solutions that can profoundly impact society.

“It is an opportunity for scholars and researchers at different stages of their career, practitioners from diverse domains to coverage and discuss the intersections of their respective fields.

“We welcome everyone with an interest in psychology, health, AI and beyond to come along to what we are sure will be a fun and informative event.”

The event is free to attend but booking is required. Book via this link.
