Congratulations to Dr Clarisse de Vries who was awarded the UK Advancing Healthcare Awards (2024) Rising Star Award at the celebratory lunch and ceremony today in Park Plaza Victoria, 239 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London.
The Advancing Healthcare Awards recognise and celebrate the work of allied health professionals, healthcare scientists and those who work alongside them in support roles, leading innovative healthcare practice across the UK.
The Rising Star Award recognises Clarisse’s fantastic contributions in an emerging field, leading evaluations of breast screening AI. Her work assisted in the discovery of performance variation following mammography machine software upgrades demonstrating need for ongoing AI performance evaluation. Clarisse provided a dynamic conduit and leadership between industrial partners, the NHS, academics, regulatory authorities, and the public. She has done this while delivering top research publications. Working in an evolving and complex field there are often scientific and operational challenges with no obvious or established solutions. Clarisse has continuously stood out, providing pragmatic solutions to move projects forward.
