Emma joined HSRU as a Research Fellow on the Elizabeth Russell (ER) Fellowship in February 2024. In this role, she is working on writing academic papers from the findings of her PhD work and exploring funding opportunities for a post-doctoral fellowship.
She recently finished a PhD which was also based in HSRU. This research focussed on the online patient feedback platform ‘Care Opinion’, and explored how feedback was used to improve care in NHS Scotland. Through the ER fellowship, she is hoping to build on the PhD findings and develop a research proposal for exploring aspects of online patient feedback in Scottish social care settings.
