Aberdeen Institute Holds Chinese-British Cultural Exchange Festival in 2023

On 4 November the Aberdeen Institute's first Chinese-British Cultural Exchange Festival of 2023 was held in SCNU Foshan Nanhai Campus.

The University of Aberdeen (UoA)'s Peter Edwards (Vice-Principal), South China Normal Aberdeen Institute's Jianli Wu (Acting Dean), Changhai Zhang (Party Secretary), Huan Chen (Vice Dean), UoA's Harminder Battu (Dean for International Partnership and Development), Katja Christie (Head of International Partnerships & Mobility), John Skatun (Chair in Economics, Head of School), Aladdin Ayesh (Aberdeen Institute’s Vice Dean), Tryphon Lambrou (Director of Undergraduate Pathways) and Daisy Ma (Director of In-country Office) were in attendance, alongside academics from UoA and SCNU.

The garden party was held at the Complex Building Forecourt and activities included the Costume Culture Experience, Chinese Calligraphy, DIY Chinese Fan making, a Chinese Traditional Game (Pitch-pot),Foshan City Non-Material Cultural Heritage Le’an Lantern, Red Nose Game, Pancake Race, Sottish Ceilidh Dance, and much more.
