Looking to find out how you can tap into University of Aberdeen's world class research facilities and expertise? Join us at the upcoming Research Facilities Showcase on December 6.
The one-day interdisciplinary Research Facilities Showcase will take place at the Institute of Medical Sciences building at Foresterhill, bringing together researchers from across the University for interactive presentations on their work and the state-of-the-art research facilities they operate in.
Open to University staff and researchers, PGR students, commercial enterprises as well as other universities and research institutions, it seeks to provide information on the cutting-edge research facilities based in the region and how to access them.
The programme will consist of presentations from 13 research facilities and their users, ranging from MRI and CT scanning to the proteomics facility. There will be talks from Dr Elaina Collie-Duguid from the Centre for Genome Enabled Biology and Medicine who will discuss some of the latest developments; and Dr Thomas Theurer, who will showcase the Raman Spectroscopy Laboratory.
There will also be 17 exhibitor stands from a range of research institutes spanning engineering to medical nutrition, with opportunities for delegates to have one-to-one discussions with the facility managers and highly trained staff.
The event has been organised by the Research Facilities working group at the University of Aberdeen, Dr Debbie Wilkinson and Dr Alex Brasier, with support from CPD & Event Services.
