Music lovers throughout the North-east are promised a “great line-up of artists” at this year’s University of Aberdeen concert series.
Outstanding young tenor Mark Wilde, the New York concert pianist Walter Hautzig, internationally-acclaimed Renaissance musicians Mhairi Lawson, Catherine King and Jacob Heringman will take centre stage throughout October, November and December. One of Scotland’s leading traditional Scottish and music groups, The Aberdeen Strathspey and Reel Society, will also be making their debut at the concert series.
The series, with sponsorship from Elf Exploration UK PLC, starts on Sunday, 18 October, in King’s College Chapel, at 7.45pm, with a concert by Aberdeen’s fabulous String Quartet in Residence, the Yggdrasil Quartet.
