University comes to the rescue of Scottish Rugby Union

At the 11th hour, the University of Aberdeen has come up trumps for the Scottish Rugby Union by offering the use of its King’s College Playing Fields this afternoon for their Scottish Development Squad match against the USA. The match has been threatened as a result of water-logged pitches in other venues in and around Aberdeen.

Director of the University’s Facilities Management Section and Rugby Union enthusiast and former player. Stephen Gordon said: “This is the first time that the University has hosted an international match and we are proud and delighted to be able to help. I am looking forward to seeing an excellent game.”

The teams kick off at 1.45pm.
