The University of Aberdeen is opening its’ doors to local businesses for a free e-learning taster session, which will be held on Tuesday, October 9, from 3.00pm until 7.00pm in the MacRobert Building, King Street.
The drop in session will allow local organisations to sample e-learning approaches in an informal, supportive environment.
Visitors will be able to take part in an e-learning tour and will get some hands-on experience of e-learning and how it can help their business.
The session is being run by Prospect CPD, the University’s continuing professional development enterprise, who is currently receiving funding from the European Union to support small to medium sized businesses in introducing e-learning in the workplace.
Catriona Osbeck of Prospect CPD, said: “The world of e-learning is moving so fast that it is often difficult to keep up with the new opportunities it presents. This is a chance for local organisations to discover what it’s all about and how it can benefit their business.
“The information session will be hands-on and fun, and is open to businesses from all areas of expertise. We are looking forward to welcoming local businesses to the University.”
The event will be particularly helpful to individuals responsible for training in the workplace. Visitors are welcome to drop in at any time.
Also available on the night is the opportunity to sign up for the Online Tutor Award, with 50 places provided FREE to small and medium sized organisations.
The drop in session will also feature a free prize draw.
